Juravinski Research Institute Funding
For the second year, the Juravinski Research Institute (JRI) is inviting Hamilton researchers to apply for funding to conduct collaborative research projects connected to this year’s priorities.
The JRI 2023 themes are maternal morbidity and its long-term health implications, and health care of tomorrow.
Summaries for each of the themes can be found here.
This funding is available because of the generosity of Margaret Juravinski, who contributed a new $5.1-million gift to the Juravinski Research Institute (JRI), a partnership between Hamilton Health Sciences, McMaster University and St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton. Sadly, Margaret passed away on May 9, 2023. We will remember both Margaret and Charles as we honour the legacy they have built at the JRI.
If you are a highly collaborative researcher with an interest and expertise that aligns with the 2023 themes, we invite you to attend our upcoming virtual information and planning sessions. This is an opportunity to hear from researchers across the three organizations, brainstorm research project ideas that could be funded by the recent gift and learn how you can participate in research initiatives funded by the JRI.
